Thank you for your interest in Vizsla rescue.  This web page is intended to inform you about how Vizsla rescue works so that you can decide if you want to pursue this option when looking for a Vizsla.

In order to be considered for rescue we request that you complete an application form.  Please download the form (a Word document), complete & return to Barbara Yeatman via e-mail at: vizlhavn@comcast.net

Following receipt of the application we then try to arrange an in-home visit.  Once we get through the application process you are on the waiting list.

To learn more about how we place dogs and owners, please read About VCC Rescue.

Also, check out the fundraisers that benefit VCC Rescue.

Read about Barbara's own Rescue Success Story with her own special Vizsla, Lizzie:

One of the funniest little rescues on the planet! Lizzie was a youngster, out of control (understatement) and wound up like a top! She came to live with Boulder, Mr. Calm, Laid-Back and personable. Ha!It took some time and lots of consistent behavior on the part of the current Rescue Chair (the owner) to make sure that Lizzie really knew she would ALWAYS be loved, no matter how fast she twirled!

Lizzie's services have been requested many times over to do molectomies. Talk about earning her keep! Ka-ching Ka-ching. She has gone from digging huge craters to plucking a mole out of the run! WOW! What a girl!

All fun notwithstanding, she is the most loyal and loving little girl I have ever had! So glad she came along when she did,. Besides, when someone wants  to meet the Vizslas, I only have to show them Boulder (Mr. Cool), Geni (the little white, timid and sweet thing) and LIZZIE..! She has provided me with a real time look at the varieties that the Vizsla seems to come in...quiet-and look out! What a girl!!!!
